Drishyam enjoyed the highest collections amongst the Hindi films on Friday as it netted 2.75 crore. Though it is a drop from its opening Friday (8.5 crore), there are good chances for the Ajay Devgn starrer to grow further over the weekend as it has been appreciated by the audience which has had its fill of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Bahubali. As for Bangistan, it has been completely rejected, which means Drishyam would emerge as the first choice of cinegoers over the weekend when it comes to Hindi films.

It can be pretty much seen from the fact that the collections of Drishyam were around the sum total of what Bajrangi Bhaijaan (~1.25 crore), Bangistan (~1 crore) and Bahubali (~50 lakhs) collected yesterday (on their fourth, fifth and first Friday respectively). Though for these individual films this isn’t saying much, considering the fact that first two are All Time Blockbusters already and third is on verge of being an All Time Disaster, the good news for Drishyam is that it may just manage to get its due at the Box Office.

The film’s major competition though would be Mission : Impossible Rogue Nation which netted in the range of 6-7 crore yesterday. This is more than the sum total of all other Hindi films in the running, including Drishyam. With the franchise factor going in its favor and good appreciation coming in too, the Tom Cruise starrer would emerge as the top film by the time it ends its first week.

As for Drishyam, it would have to pave its way into an Average zone by attempting to fight out all the competition that it has faced from the films released before and after it.
