Chennai Express despite running impeccably for the last 5 weeks haven’t wrapped up its income at the domestic box office. On its 6th weekend, the film made 50 lacs at the box office. The film has so far accumulated a moolah of 226.50 crores at the domestic box office.

The film made on an elaborate budget has made a profit if 151.50 crores from its domestic circuit alone and has recorded a profit rate of 202%. Call it superstar’s prowess or just SRK magic, Chennai Express has indeed marked new trends at the box office, setting higher standards for the films that are to follow this year. With many promising films in store, 2013 will surely see many newer changes in terms of business mores of Bollywood.
