Tiger Zinda Hai is now coming closer to Bajrangi Bhaijaan lifetime of 321 crores. The Kabir Khan directed film had started on a relatively lower note as it had its first day (27.25 crores), first weekend (102.60 crores) and first week (184.62 crores) all being lower than Tiger Zinda Hai statistics in comparison. This isn’t all as it wasn’t quite running alone and had Baahubali for comparison. Still, it continued to do quite well on the basis of fantastic word of mouth and had a good long run.
In comparison, Tiger Zinda Hai is enjoying a much cleaner run with the festive season helping its cause as well. The film currently stands at 309.16 crores and it is expected that Bajrangi Bhaijaan total would be surpassed by end of this week. Post that it would have some sort of competition from the newer release [1921, Kaalakaandi, Mukkabaaz] and it would be interesting to see how its collections shape up by the time Sunday arrives. This would be the day when the real competition between an established film and new arrivals would be there to be seen.

Nonetheless, it is now time for all involved with Tiger Zinda Hai to move on. Salman Khan is already engaged with Race 3, Yash Raj Films and Katrina Kaif would be back to Thugs of Hindostan, while Ali Abbas Zafar would begin work on Bharat, the Eid release of 2019.

Meanwhile, one just hopes that the good run continues for Bollywood and the arrival of notable films like Padmavat, Padman, and Aiyaary keep the fire burning at the Box Office.
