Teraa Surroor, which was released on just around 1000 screens, saw a fair opening on Friday. The collections stayed consistent right through the weekend and as a result 6.46 crores came in. Since the film has already recovered its costs for the producers, it all boils down to the money that it makes theatrically so that distributors earn as well. The makers have sold the film at reasonable costs, which means the recovery would be there eventually.

Global Baba and Murari – The Mad Gentleman, the other two releases of the week, didn’t even get the right listing, and hence there were not many who reviewed the films either. They were disasters from the word Go.

Jai Gangaajal had a fair weekend of around 4 crore, and the film now stands around the 34 crore mark. The Priyanka Chopra starrer has done fair business up North and even in territories where it hasn’t scored huge, the losses would be minimal.

Meanwhile, Neerja has continued to score. It managed to bring in around 3 crore more over its fourth weekend which is quite good. Neerja stands at 71.10 crores now. The collections have now gone past way bigger films like Student of the Year [70 crore], Krrish [69 crore], Chak De! India [68 crore], Tamasha [68 crore], Rockstar [67.5 crore] and Love Aaj Kal [67 crore]. The next targets are Entertainment [72 crore] and and Raaz 3 [73 crore] and looks like these would be crossed too.

Note: All collections as per production and distributor sources
