Kapoor & Sons is continuing to grow from strength to strength. The film is showing a good run in the weekdays as well, and that further reflected in 4.5 crore that came in on Tuesday. With this, the film’s total currently reads as 35.93 crore.
This is fantastic since in five days flat, Shakun Batra’s film has gone past Week One total of Ram Madhwani’s Neerja [35.32 crore].
The film further benefits from the fact that tomorrow is Holi. This means that evening and night shows tonight would be good too and collections are expected to be in the same range as yesterday. Moreover, collections would show a jump tomorrow. This isn’t all as many are expected to opt for a long weekend holiday on Friday too, as a result of which the Karan Johar flick can well expect a solid run till Friday.
For Fox, this is a hat-trick after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Neerja. Sidharth Malhotra has kept his good run intact (even his Brothers, though an under-performer, had still collected 85 crore). Alia Bhatt has bounced back after Shaandaar. Fawad Khan has another success up his sleeves after Khoobsurat. Rishi Kapoor has wooed audience all over again with his endearing act. As for Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah, they have proven once again that they are extremely reliable actors who can be expected to deliver each time around.
