Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship Box Office Predictions: Last January, Uri: The Surgical Strike had released and Vicky Kaushal turned into a household name. The film started well and then grew from strength to strength to emerge as an all time blockbuster. Now the actor is returning with Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship and one waits to see how his newly acquired stardom translates into footfalls from the first day itself.

The genre is a kind that can work well at A, B as well as C centres, especially the latter, if the end product is made well. Moreover, it caters to multiplexes as well as single screens. This was seen in Raaz series till a few years back. Of course it was also helped by chartbuster music.

In case of Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship, the makers (Dharma Productions) haven’t aimed at music to be the selling point but instead storytelling (by newcomer director Bhanu Pratap Singh) is said to be quite unique and innovative. That should ensure good footfalls in multiplexes to begin with and then later increasing to other properties basis word of mouth.

All of this leads to an expectation of 4-6 crores opening day number and from there on it would be the content that would do the talking.
