But the film’s effect has been far reaching merely on the basis of its emotional plot line. The film on its 3rd Tuesday made an income on 1.75 crores. Adding that, the film’s total collections raked up to 90.25 crores at the domestic box office.
The releases from the last 2 weeks have been dull and hence Bhaag Milkha Bhaag fared better due to a lack of stiff competition. The film is earning praises for its mesmerizing story and Farhan Akhtar’s wonderful performance in the titular role. Estimates suggest that the film will cross 100 crores in a week if it maintains the income this stably, which wouldn’t be hard given a lack of good releases this Friday.
