Krrish 3 buzz is enough to suggest that the film’s superpowers extend beyond its blazing VFX laden content. The film, even before its release, has been rising high on the expectation of being a blockbuster release and might see a hike in the ticket prices at most multiplexes, perhaps even more than Chennai Express.
In the recent times, it was only Shah Rukh Khan’s magnanimous Eid release Chennai Express that managed to sell its tickets at a whopping price of Rs. 500. But if reports from a leading daily is to be believed Krrish 3 tickets might be pricier than even Chennai Express.
Besides being a Diwali weekend release, the film is a purely indigenous attempt at matching up to the superlative VFX action that most Hollywood superhero flicks flaunt. The film already has a huge fanbase in India due to Krrish‘s 2006 stint which enthralled everyone, especially the younger folks.
Reportedly, the ticket prices might see a 8% hike in the key multiplexes, however, most single screens are keeping the prices stagnant to be able to attract more and more audiences during the festive season.
However, interestingly a survey carried out by Koimoi reporters suggest that the news might actually be a botched up attempt to boom the existent hype for the film. Currently, most booking portals till Sunday are showing the ticket prices in PVR Cinemas to be in the range of 400-500 INR. In Inox cinemas, the ticket prices for night shows are around 450-500 INR and the popular Fun Cinemas has most of its ticket prices so far in the range of 350-400 INR.
The weekend rates of the films are the highest and Krrish 3‘s opening weekend tickets are still being sold at normal weekend prices of hyped films. Though there is a mild chance that the multiplexes might hike the price by today evening, so far the report doesn’t stand true as the tickets at important multiplexes isn’t exceeding Chennai Express‘ 500 INR record so far.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that this Hrithik Roshan starrer will definitely open to a bombastic beginning giving Bollywood Box Office a chance to revive its success phase!
