Over the years, the horror genre has attracted some genuine fan following in India. Every movie in this genre does well until it’s plain bad. The 3rd instalment in the franchise, Annabelle Comes Home has crossed the 20 crore mark at the Indian box office.
It needs 10 crores more to find its place in Koimoi’s list of Highest Hollywood Grossers. The film released on Thursday and since then it has been maintaining a comparatively decent trend despite heavy competition from Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15.
Annabelle Comes Home collected 18.30 crores till Sunday and Monday held the key of its fate. Being a weekday and with issues of rains in Mumbai, the movie was expected to see a drop. It still earned 2.40 crores on its day 5 i.e 1st Monday at the box office. It now stands at the grand total of 20.60 crores.

It will be interesting to see how the film holds on from now as the weekdays will get tougher. On Friday we’ll see another Hollywood biggie raiding the theatres. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is releasing, and it surely will eat up a good chunk from Annabelle’s business. The story in Annabelle Comes Home centres on the doll awakening the room’s evil, which sets its sights on a new target — the Warrens’ 10-year-old daughter, Judy, to be portrayed by Mckenna Grace. Madison Iseman also played a pivotal role in the film.
Gary Dauberman, who also wrote the script, made his directorial debut. James Wan produced for Atomic Monster and Peter Safran produced for the Safran Company. Michael Clear and Michelle Morrissey did the executive production for Annabelle Comes Home which released in India on June 27, 2019.
