Ajab Gazabb Love could not embark upon a good start by opening to a disappointing average occupancy rate of about 25% in the morning shows. However, the movie showed some signs of pick up during the later shows.
As per early estimates, the movie made about 3.25-3.5 Crores on its Day 1 at the domestic box office. The collections can be termed as so-so opening and the movie will need to do better on Saturday and Sunday to make a decent weekend at the box office.
It seems, the promotional campaigns helped the movie as it saw a lot of response from the youth especially in small collection centers.
Reviews and word of mouth is positive as well and thus, the film has every chance of taking a good jump on Saturday and Sunday.
