The film currently in its third week has been making money ever since its release making it the year’s second super hit so far. The film after snowballing its third week collections now stands at an approximate 64 crores.
Aashiqui 2 which most found earnest and compelling has managed to earn 38.50 crores by its 1st week and by the time the second week concluded, the film had crossed the 50 crore mark and stood at 54.40 crores.
Surpassing big budget releases, the film once again surpassed its close competitor Shootout at Wadala all over again at Koimoi Top 10 – Indian Movies 2013 list. Being a box office predecessor, it unexpectedly managed to earn surplus in its third week as well and propelled its income to 64 crores.
The film which got demoted to position 4th after Shootout At Wadala beat it at the box office, now the venture has reclaimed its 3rd position. Made on a meager budget, the film has given a beating to a multitude of films, emerging as a strong winner.
Mohit Suri, indeed has delivered a triumphant victory for himself this time, getting his edge back again.
