Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar Has Taken The Chinese Box Office By Storm

The film collected $ 6.89 million on Friday, $ 10.54 million on Saturday, $ 9.89 million on Sunday, $ 5.01 million on Monday and $ 4.87 million on Tuesday.

Just like Aamir Khan’s Dangal and PK, there’s no stopping for his film Secret Superstar too. Secret Superstar has taken the Chinese box office by storm.

Though, it was a moderate hit in India but it is riding high at the Chinese box office. The film entered the 200 crore club in just 4 days in China. The film has earned a whopping amount of $ 37.20 million which is 236.81 crore in Indian rupees.

The film collected $ 6.89 million on Friday, $ 10.54 million on Saturday, $ 9.89 million on Sunday, $ 5.01 million on Monday and $ 4.87 million on Tuesday. Secret Superstar has broken Dangal’s first-day record at the Chinese box office.

With Dangal and PK, Aamir Khan has become a household name in China and he is quite popular there. Secret Superstar is the film which revolves around a girl named Insia who dream of becoming a singer. The film is about how she fulfils her dreams by keeping her identity hidden. Secret Superstar also stars Meher Vij and Raj Arjun in the pivotal roles.

The Dangal fame Zaira Wasim received huge appreciation by the fans and critics. Though, it didn’t work well in India but it surely won everyone’s hearts out here.

Aamir Khan recently also expressed his wish of working with the talent from China. India and China enjoy a high level of civilisation with a diversity of cultures and a long history. Also, the countries’ people attach great importance to family, he explained.

“There are many Chinese actors who are very talented… I really want to do films with talents from China. Your Chinese talents and us Indians, we should make a film together. I believe it’ll be wonderful,” Aamir told Xinhua news agency.
