Aanand L Rai directorial Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles is currently being shot at in United States. Actor R Madhavan has also accompanied the team to the US where they are currently shooting in Alabama. It is also reported that he will be seen in a special role in this film.

Birthday boy Madhavan was in for a surprise as he celebrated his special day with the team of Zero.

Maddy turned 40 on June 1 and also shared photos of the celebration from the sets of Zero on his Instagram page. In one of the pics, Shah Rukh khan is even seen candidly feeding cake to the 3 Idiots actor.

Actor R Madahvan was originally scheduled to film for Rohit Shetty’s Simmba but later had to opt out of it due to an injury.

Madhavan underwent a shoulder surgery last month, and since he is recuperating, he had to even withdraw from joining actor Saif Ali Khan in Navdeep Singh’s historical drama, which is heavy on action scenes. Now the actor also won’t be seen in Simmba, in which he was reportedly going to play the villain.

“Hey folks… So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost,” Madhavan had tweeted on earlier.

Madhavan was last seen in web series Breathe, which explores the life of an ordinary man facing extraordinary circumstances.
