Kareena Kapoor has totally put her Chammak Challo experience from Ra.One and Dil Mera Muft Ka experience too, to good use. This film has music by the duo, Salim and Sulaiman.
Chitrangada Singh – Kafirana, I Want Just You Item Song | Joker Movie
Let us not dwell into the censored or uncensored discussions about the lyrics of the song. Just think of Chitrangada Singh and yes, now that is a definite come back. The Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi lady knows how to act, hot to dance. She is made of elegance and seduction and all well performed. Joker is set to be a August 31 release and this number is composed by Gaurav Dagaonkar. It has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Adarsh Shinde.
Mallika Sherawat – Laila Item Song | Tezz Movie
Tezz starring Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Boman Irani, and many more, did not impress many. But the Mallika Sherawat Laila number seemed to impress a lot. Of course we will not get into the critically clouded hair and make – up disaster that the lady was probably facing. This Sunidhi Chauhan number became a popular disc and clubbing favorite. John Abraham – Rum & Whisky Item Song | Vicky Donor Movie
Rum & Whisky Akshay Verma song is arguably an item number from a noticeably successful movie Vicky Donor starring fresh faces like Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. The song featured John Abraham and partly and Indian wedding back ground. This April 20 release had music by Abhishek and Akshay, Bann, Rochak Kohli and Ayushmann Khurrana.
Malaika Arora Khan – Anarkali Disco Chali Item Song | Housefull 2 Movie
If any song could give Chikni Chameli a run for its money, it has to be this one. Sorry to sound immensely biased but yes, no one combines grace and sensuousness the way Malaika Arora Khan does. The April 5 release, Housefull 2 did manage to create some serious ripples with this item number also starring the protagonists of the movie like Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, John Abraham, Boman Irani, Mithun Chakraborty, etc. The vocals were by Mamta Sharma and Sukhwinder Singh.
Kareena Kapoor – Dil Mera Muft Ka Item Song | Agent Vinod Movie
Dil Mera Muft Ka song has vocals by Nandini Srikar, Muazzam, Rizwan, Shadab Faridi, Altamush Faridi and Shabab Sabri. And we have always liked Bebo better when she is not size zero. Kareena Kapoor sizzled on screen in her gharana style and the number gained immense popularity. The movie boasting of this track is Agent Vinod, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and many more. It had music by Pritam and was a March 23 release.
Bipasha Basu – Bipasha Item Song | Jodi Breakers Movie
Jodi Breakers was a critical disaster as far as the box office is concerned. But the song Bipasha seemed to have gained some ground with the sultry Bipasha Basu dancing to her name. This February 24 release had music by Salim and Sulaiman and the song was sung by Shraddha Pandit and Shadab Faridi.
Veena Malik – Chhanno Item Song | Gali Gali Chor Hai Movie
Chhanno starred Veena Malik. Yes, you guessed it right. She indeed is the lady of the big boss fame. The Gali Gali Chor Hai movie did nothing good to its producers for sure but Veena Malik was noticed far and wide for this number. This February 3 release had music by Anu Malik and the number was sung by Anu Malik and Mamta Sharma.
Katrina Kaif – Chikni Chameli Item Song | Agneepath Movie
Agneepath was the most awaited remake of the year getting a Republic Day release on the 26th of January. Katrina Kaif’s performance as the Chikni Chameli is till date the year’s most successful item number, probably tie-ing only at number one with Mallaika’s Anarkali Disco Chali. It had vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and music by Ajay and Atul. With ‘Shiela’ and ‘Chameli’ she proved she can add the required fizz to item numbers.
