Khoobsurat is not exactly a woman-centric film but the focus is surely on Sonam Kapoor more than Fawad Khan, who is making his Bollywood debut with the film. Already a known face in the film circle after Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Kay Liye, the actor is all set to begin his Bollywood career with this film. Since he debuts with a film that is told from a woman’s perspective, it was hard not to ask Fawad whether at any point he felt overshadowed by the script.
He, very kindly, replied saying, “No. Not at all. I think it is always easier to be noticed better as the second lead, more than the lead. In that way you have a better scope of surprising the audiences more than carrying the responsibility of it all on your own shoulders.”
But despite such a beginning, ask him if he is open to a quintessential song-dance and masala film and he replies with, “Dance is something of a rocket science for me which I am yet to learn. It is like learning a new language all together for me. I would obviously like to learn. It completely depends on whether interesting male centric projects come my way. There are a few similar projects for me at hand and am very close to finalizing them. I can try anything and everything under the sun, very honestly.”
Khoobsurat stars Fawad along with Sonam in lead roles and the film is all set to clash with Daawat-E-Ishq this Friday.
