Bollywood has global fan following and one of the celebs who is majorly responsible for making it huge worldwide is Shah Rukh Khan. Look around and one would be surrounded by SRK fans almost anywhere around the globe.
It was a happy surprise for SRK when, the former President of Mexico (2000-2006) Vicente Fox, a fan of SRK visited him on the sets of Happy New Year that is being shot in the RK studios in Chembur (Mumbai). The former President was accompanied by his wife Martha Fox and current Mexican Ambassador to India Jamie Nualart.
Director of the film, Farah Khan too greeted the guests.
Shah Rukh Khan and Fox had a chat on a varied range of topics from Bollywood films, to things about Mexico and the importance of education. The two jelled well and had a long conversation.
The former President, new to the Bollywood phenomenon was excited to be on the sets of a film. Fox stated to have found SRK a great person after chatting with him.
The meeting was organized by KidZania, in whose Indian franchise SRK owns about 26% stake. Fox said, “We have been visiting many places, but meeting SRK and talking to him we feel he is a great person. The set is fabulous and the activity is just amazing. We hope that Mr Shah Rukh Khan would visit us at Mexico some day. India is a great country with great people, he has always admired India. Also proud that KidZania is Mexican and I am glad that it has SRK’s blessings and that he is looking into the Indian franchise of this wonderful way of educating kids with entertainment.”
