After a shocking and untimely demise last month, Sushant Singh Rajput has been in the news. From twists and turns in his death investigation to throwback pictures, videos and memories of the late actor; social media is full of content about the actor. Now an old tweet of his then-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande is going viral.
Sushant and Ankita met on the sets of Zee TV’S Pavitra Rishta. The then-lovebirds played on-screen couple Manav and Archana Deshmukh. After dating each other for around six years, the couple called it quits and head separate ways. Strong rumours were doing the rounds then that the actors were tying the knot.
A while before their break-up, Sushant Singh Rajput changed his focus from acting in television to film. The actor won the hearts of millions with his Bollywood debut film, Kai Po Che! His roles as the ex-skipper of the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni in l MS Dhoni: The Untold Story even entered the 100 crore club.
Around that same time as the film, Ankita Lokhande posted a sweet tweet to her then-lover Sushant Singh Rajput. She shared a cute picture of themselves cuddled up in the snow-clad mountains. She dedicated the film’s song to him writing: “Kaun tujhe yuh pyaar karega jaise main karti hu gugga .. Luv u so much baby @itsSSR (sic)”
For those who do not know, Ankita lovingly called Sushant as ‘Gugga.’
Even though the couple parted ways, their fans always prayed for them to come back together.
Yesterday, Ankita took to social media and posted a picture reading ‘Truth Wins.’ She made this post after actress and Sushant’s alleged girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty was booked on charges of unlawful confinement and abetment of suicide in connection to the actor’s death by his father KK Singh.
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 at his Bandra residence. Since then several big names of Bollywood have been interrogated by the Bandra police.
