Mumbai Saga starring John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi is one of the most anticipated films currently. Sanjay Gupta and the team have been working really hard to wrap up the film quickly but now it seems like they have hit a roadblock. Jackie Shroff, who was supposed to essay a key role in the film has walked out of the film.
Yes, according to reports in Bollywood Hungama, it is said that Jackie did not have the dates to shoot for the film and the director and he has mutually decided to part ways. A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Jackie had a conflict of dates, and since Sanjay Gupta’s directorial is a start to finish shoot they both decided to mutually part ways.”
The source further shared, “Since Jackie will not be featuring in the film; the makers are currently working on locking a replacement. In fact, Sanjay Gupta has narrowed it down to a few names, one of whom will be cast for the said role”.
Talking about Mumbai Saga, the gangster drama action thriller tracks the shutdown of mills in Bombay in the ’80s and the aftermath of it. The film will see Emraan Hashmi essaying the role of a cop who takes on his on-screen rival John Abraham, the gangster.

Sanjay has already finished a few schedules of the film with John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi in Mumbai already. Kajal Agarwal, Gulshan Grover, Amol Gupte, Rohit Roy and Shaad Randhawa also play pivotal roles in the film. Suniel Shetty is expected to join them in November for the final schedule.
Produced by T-Series and White Feather Films, the movie will take us through the journey of Bombay turning into Mumbai, and is slated to release on June 19, 2020.
