Event films in Bollywood go side by side with festivals and Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff’s War is all set to overtake Gandhi Jayanti at the box office. With such films, news of leading stars getting a god-like treatment, shows as early as 4 am, bulk booking has been common since years now. Recently 2.0 had a 6 am show and Avengers: Infinity War was screened all-night at some parts in the country.
Now, the news for War is that Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s fans have done a mass booking for the morning shows on 2nd October. Major cinema halls in Mumbai and Kolkata have witnessed this bulk booking from the fans.
As per the reports, fans from Mumbai booked over 100 tickets in one go and fans in Kolkata, a level above, booked over 185 tickets to watch the film on the first day. Now, the number doesn’t seem as high but it’s still crazy for normal fans to book such amount of tickets in a single go.
Recently, Hrithik Roshan said that it’s really hard to write an intelligent action entertainer. He said to IANS, “It is very difficult to write an intelligent action entertainer. It is not easy. People think action is about blowing up cars. It’s not. Action needs intelligent writing. Action is in the process, in planning, it’s in the strategising of how the attitude of the hero comes into the piece of the action, as well as the attitude of other characters,” Hrithik told IANS.
He also aimed Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible as the benchmark, saying “A ‘Mission Impossible‘ is a benchmark. It’s all in a very intelligently crafted screenplay and all the characters are very intelligent. They do not spoon-feed you. In our cinema, because we were so used to spoon-feeding at one point of time, our action films became very boring to watch. It was spoon-fed, very easy. It was like ‘yeh kya ho raha hai sab’ (What is happening?). The action was for the sake of action,” he said.
