Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia pair up for the first time for the upcoming film The Vvan. The film also marks an interesting collaboration between Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF. Now, the makers have given us a glimpse into the world of Vvan, which brings together folklore, stories, traditions, humor, and modern ethos.

The trailer of the upcoming fantasy folklore gives us a brief introduction to what to expect from the film. The film also boasts an interesting cast beyond the lead pair. It promises to be a complete entertainment package, blending tradition with a modern mindset.

The trailer of Vvan introduces us to Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, who are an urban couple living in Mumbai. Tamannaah asks him to visit her family in their ancestral home for Chhath Puja. So, the whole plot is set around the 5 days of the pious festival. Sidharth Malhotra is a non-believer and initially refuses to believe the stories he hears from the village folks about the dangers that lie in the forest. However, he soon begins to experience eerie elements himself and slowly starts taking things more seriously. In the trailer, we also see that Sidharth’s character has visions of the past. It seems that the actor is connected to the land’s past and will be its protector.

The concept of Vvan seems pretty interesting. A village with a dense jungle that has scary secrets. In the trailer, we see that the village is divided into two groups—one wants development for the village, which would require cutting down some forest land, while the other wants to carry on with age-old traditions. Sidharth’s character falls between the two and has to solve the mystery of the forest while focusing on the village’s development.

The trailer ends with a grand climactic sequence in which the past elements catch up with the present. The trailer offers a brief glimpse of the jungle action sequences, which promise to be quite grand on the big screen.

The film’s music has been composed by Vishal Mishra, Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi, and Sam CS. The music, especially for the jungle sequences, is a standout, and I cannot wait to experience it on the big screen. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the film also stars Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, and Anupam Soni. The film will be released in theatres on September 25.
