Vidya Balan may be on cloud nine after the fantastic response to her film, The Dirty Picture, but looks like a court order might spoil the party.
According to reports, a Hyderabad court has directed the police to book Vidya for posing for indecent photographs on the posters and promos of the film. On a petition filed by an advocate S. K. Azad, the local Nampally criminal court in Hyderabad ordered the Nallakunta police station to file an FIR case against the Bollywood actor under sections of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.
Azad stated that posters and hoardings of the film were spoiling the minds of the people and causing harm to the society. TDP had landed in trouble earlier when the film was banned in Pakistan (it has since been cleared) and also when the former south Indian actress Silk Smitha’s brother had raised an objection over the film allegedly being based on his sister’s life.
