Taapsee Pannu On Sushant Singh Rajput Case: “Conspiracy Theories Are Being Thrown All Over The Place”

A lot of celebs do not fear raising their voices for the wrong and right. Taapsee Pannu is one of the stars from Bollywood who is quite vocal. Whether it’s interviews or her social media pages, the Thappad actress doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind.
Being a vocal Bollywood star means also being a big target of social media trolls. However, Taapsee knows how to give it back to them. Currently, social media is a space where one couldn’t be themselves due to all the blame-game and allegations. Since the Sushant Singh Rajput case is going on, several celebs have kept it lowkey when it comes to their social media usage. But the Manmarziyaan actress is still active and has been at the receiving end of criticism, trolling and abuses.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu was asked about Bollywood being shaken since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as a lot is being said. There are many prime time debates, several conspiracy theories and witchhunt going on. Does she get disturbed due to the same? The actress said, “I’ve maintained that I’ll never make someone’s death a personal vendetta, or a way to get through people who I have issues with or just to create a drama around to get attention which I can see a lot of people doing right now. I’ve always seen him (Sushant) on screen as an actor, but now I’m seeing things being spoken about him, his personal life, family, love life, habits and god knows what all, on TV in such big debates on prime time with some really high-level dramatics and conspiracy theories being thrown all over the place.”
Taapsee Pannu added, “As a viewer, I’m not able to understand if these channels are taking over the work of the court and CBI because they’re passing statements. I always thought news debates are about putting forth two sides but right now, it’s a forced side being shown and a decision being made. The kind of conclusions some of the news channels have given us, they’re trying to create a perception and image, and they’ve sort of given a verdict even before the court and CBI’s decision of the case. So I’m unable to understand if I should listen to the verdict from these news channels, what they want me to believe, or it’s fair to wait for the what the court or CBI have to say eventually because that’s what the law of the land is.”
The Thappad actress aid that she comes across headlines and statements by TV anchors which are conclusive about what must have happened with SSR. CBI so far has not given any statement regarding what happened. The actress feels the TV news channels have created a circus that is making audience delusional about the law in the Industry.
Meanwhile, talking about Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, currently, the CBI is interrogating Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. So far, CBI has not made any conclusions regarding the alleged suicide/murder case of SSR.
