Yesterday was a big day in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The Supreme Court handed the entire matter to Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI). From Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon to Ankita Lokhande, actors celebrated the big win. However, it looks like Flesh actress Swara Bhasker a different view.
Mumbai Police constantly raised eyebrows with its actions. It began with Sandip Ssingh, who was present at the crime site, confessing that his written statement was not recorded even after weeks. If that was not it, everybody knows about the alleged mistreatment with Bihar Police.
But Swara Bhasker believes that the country somehow was wrong to have not trusted the officials. According to the Veere Di Wedding actress, the spectators are nobody to question their duties. We should have all trusted Mumbai Police in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, she feels.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Swara Bhasker said, “I don’t think it is fair to suggest that the Mumbai Police was not doing a good job or was not being professional. I think that there is a problem right there that we did not trust the Mumbai Police, we should have. We have no reason to doubt their conduct. I hope the CBI will be now allowed to their job in a fair and impartial manner.”
Furthermore, when asked about the SC’s latest verdict, Swara Bhasker said she doesn’t have much to say. “There is nothing new to add, I have said this before that the courts, the judicial system must be allowed to do their job, the police should have been allowed to do their job,” said the actress.
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June. He was last seen in Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara.
