Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Rhea Chakraborty’s CA Leaves ED Office But The Actress Being Questioned

The prime suspect of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide mystery, Rhea Chakraborty appeared at the Enforcement Directorate’s office with her brother, Showik Chakraborty today as per the deadline given by ED. Reportedly, the actress is likely to be interrogated for the alleged 15 crores transaction from Sushant’s bank account. The interrogation is conducted after the late actor’s father lodged a money laundering case against her with ED.
Rhea on Thursday had requested ED to be exempted from the interrogation until the Supreme Court’s final hearing on her petition. She had sent an email request to the ED but was rejected so she was forced to arrive at the ED office on Friday, as reported by Republic TV.
Along with Rhea Chakraborty, her chartered accountant (CA) was also summoned twice by the ED. Now, as per the latest reports flowing in, her CA has left the office but the actress is still under the interrogation. The news publication reports that the late actor’s CA was also interrogated in regards to the alleged money laundering from his account. The interrogation was conducted before Rhea was probed.
Meanwhile, CBI has registered an FIR against all the accused in Sushant’s death case including Rhea Chakraborty, her father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty, manager Shruti Modi and Sushant’s house manager, Samuel Miranda. The latest development comes after the Supreme Court’s verdict.
Earlier the Supreme Court directed all the parties, including Mumbai Police, to submit their respective investigation reports on the case in three days. Based on the report, the apex court will decide whether the entire investigation needs to be handed over to the CBI or not.
Sushant Singh Rajput had allegedly committed suicide in his Mumbai apartment on June 14 sending shockwaves throughout the country. The late actor’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea accusing her of abetment to suicide, theft, blackmailing, and harassment. Since then the Mumbai Police has been investigating the matter and have reportedly recorded the statement of nearly 56 people.
