Surveen Chawla Replaces Paoli Dam in Hate Story 2

A film that despite negative reviews and critical panning was able to be considered a hit, much due to its erotic sexual content has been rehashed to be made into a sequel of sorts, but with a complete new outlook. Vikram Bhatt, who has been happy the way his original film worked with the audience, does have regrets too. Too much of hard-core sexual content limited Hate Story to a particular section of the society while others were deprived of watching the film, much due to the intoxicating adult content.

But Hate Story 2 returns with too many changes. Paoli Dam, the gutsy actress who made a stunning bare bodied debut into the industry with the film this year seems to be replaced by television starlet Surveen Chawla who has been signed in as the lead for the second edition. Sushant Singh would be seen to be playing the villainous character taking it over from Gulshan Devaiah who essayed the antagonist’s role in the first part of the franchise. Not just the faces, the film also changes hands as Vivek Agnihotri, the original maker of the film would be busy with his upcoming film, ‘Freedom’ and hence Hate Story 2 has fallen into the laps of Vishal Pandya, who will head the direction now.

While Hate Story was high on nudity, lewd dialogues and propelling vengeance, Hate Story 2 will discover the inner demons of a woman’s body which is even more dangerously spiteful. Bhatt who feels that Sex dominated the first package of their film and hence overpowered the brevity of their plot, has decided to go low on eroticism cutting down on adult content and focus on the ‘Hatred and Revenge’ that stand out as the main themes of Hate Story 2.

With Paoli taking a backseat and Surveen taking up the reins of the franchise now, it would be exciting to see how this bubbly Punjabi girl fares as the dominating, revengeful woman lead in Hate Story 2!
