Sexy, stylish and chic: it came as no surprise that Sonam Kapoor beat her contemporaries as Maxim India’s hottest beauty this year. The leggy Kapoor girl, who had two releases this year with I Hate Luv Storys and Aisha, is enjoying the view from the top “…It’s really important to me. I like the words ‘hot’ and ‘sexy.’ It’s fun and at the same time, speaks about your sensuality, passion and depth,” Sonam is quoted as saying by a daily.
It’s quite a feat for the 25-year-old actress who’s just 4 movies old. She’s beaten beauties like Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to top the list. Sonam’s co-star in ‘Aisha’, model Lisa Haydon (Aarti Menon), made it at No. 48.
There were quite a few surprise entrants on the list too. Amrita Rao is 32nd, Anushka Sharma is at 24 and Jacqueline Fernandez at No. 35. South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan had a close shave at No. 93. Singer Katy Perry, who topped the list in the US, is No. 12 here.
