Sonam Kapoor is a true blue fashionista and there is no denying to it! Now, as the Neerja actress graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, she has shared pictures from her photoshoot and said that she does not want herself to only be a poor little rich girl. Sonam also said that she has worked hard so that she could pave way for other women.

Taking to her social media handle, Sonam shared a series of pictures from the cover shoot. The first image was captioned with what read, “You can’t just be the poor little rich girl or feel sorry for yourself – no. I have to make those harder choices and pave the way for other women after me. My whole team are women – and we need to lift each other up. There are thousands of years of patriarchy to cut through.”

In yet another image, that saw Sonam in a white ruffled dress, the actress captioned the image with a certain excerpt from the interview that read, “Whatever work I do as an artist has to be a reflection of my moral compass, and what I believe in speaking out about. So yeah… I do ‘strong female leads’.” Sonam’s fight for women’s empowerment does not stop there. In yet another post, Sonam’s caption read, “For me, female empowerment is very important, especially because I’m from a side of the world where women have always been second-class citizens.”
