In mid-June, the country was in shock when the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death broke. The young actor was found dead by his domestic help at his Bandra residence. Since then, a lot of accusations have been place on the biggies of Bollywood for supporting nepotism as indirectly sabotaging SSR’s career.
Now veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha spoke about the blame being placed on Bollywood biggie Karan Johar. In an interview, the veteran actor said that Karan is not someone who can make and break careers.
The actor said in the interview published on Bollywood Hungama, “It is unfair and futile to blame Karan Johar for Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. First of all, who is Karan Johar to make or break careers? I don’t think he sees himself that way at all.”

When asked if he sees KJo as someone who can spoil someone career, the actor-politician said, “I don’t think anyone can break your destiny. Jo kismet mein likha hai wohi hoga. When I came to Mumbai from Patna, I just had a few hundred rupees in my pocket. I was determined to be an actor at any cost. I had to face a lot of insults. I never forgot them.”
Talking more about Karan, Shatrughan said, “My daughter has worked with Karan. He has worked to get where he is. Being born in a film family doesn’t automatically qualify you for success. Likewise being an outsider doesn’t disqualify you from stardom. And Sushant was a very successful star.”
Sushant has featured in Karan Johar’s Dharma Production film Drive (2019).
