It looks like a dark day for the media today. After Amitabh Bahchcan’s pulled up the media for blowing his comments on the Mumbai Metro Rail Project out of proportion, its Shah Rukh Khan’s turn to get back.

On August 31st, a popular Bollywood website reported that Shah Rukh’s under-production movie RA.ONE is slated to release on the 3rd of June, 2011. The site also reported that the producers of the film decided to release it after the IPL matches. Soon after, another leading daily also carried the same news, albeit changing the date to 13th June, 2011.

The icing on the cake? Early this morning (1st September, 2010) King Khan declared in a sarcastic tweet, “Nice to know that the release date for ‘RA.ONE’ has been fixed by someone…somewhere. Maybe they can now come and finish it as well…” But it seems like Shah Rukh is looking forward for a monsoon release with his following tweet, “Will work backwards in terms of post production and announce the release date in tandem with office guys. It should be around June, Insha Allah.”

Shah Rukh was busy shooting in London for ‘RA.ONE’ and has returned to Mumbai for a filming a furniture décor ad with his wife Gauri. He was also briefly involved in the promotion of friend Karan Johar’s production We Are Family.
