Rajshri’s new film, Isi Life Mein…!, is about how two worlds – one, of the modern cities of India, and the other, which resides in the villages and small towns of the country – meet. Along the same lines, the party to introduce the new cast of the film on 16th November also, in a way, underlined the meeting of two worlds – the old guard at Rajshri, one of the premiere banners of India, and the new guard raring to go and willing to move with the times. Sooraj Barjatya, a scion of the noteworthy Barjatya family which owns the formidable Rajshri empire, acted as the perfect bridge between the old and the new generations when he introduced his niece and the film’s director, Vidhi Kasliwal. In fact, speaking about the venue – Enigma discotheque at Hotel JW Marriott – of the party that evening, Sooraj revealed, “When I invited Salman Khan for this function, he asked me, what the Barjatyas would do at Enigma when the apt place for a Rajshri party would have been the ISKCON temple premises, I replied that we were moving with the times.” Although Salman could not attend the function as he was shooting at faraway Panvel that evening, the new lead pair – Akshay Oberoi and Sandeepa Dhar – and a whole bunch of newcomers, who play the friends of the debut-making hero and heroine, did make the evening one to cherish.
Though Salman Khan could not make it to the event, the actor showed full support for his friend Barjatya. He tweeted pictures of the leading couple and the director saying, “I hope and pray to god and wish this is another Maine Pyar Kiya , I have full bharosa on Vidhi (director). She has written and directed the movie for Sooraj, I have heard the script, it’s superb.
Vidhi Kasliwal, the debutante director of the film, has earlier assisted Sooraj. ‘Isi Life Mein…!’ is due for release on 24th December.
