Salman Khan Struggled, Took 27 Takes For A Song In Partner But Didn’t Give Up! Choreographer Reveals, “There Was One Move He Just Couldn’t…”

Bollywood movies are incomplete without song and dance numbers. Every actor, including the superstar Khans, has to shake their legs in their films to entertain the audience. Salman Khan is also seen shaking his leg in his movies, although the choreography of his songs is usually different from what we see other actors doing.

Salman Khan’s dance steps have often turned into memes and jokes. However, choreographer Bosco Martis reveals that the superstar is hard-working and doesn’t stop once he gets the step right. Bosco also shares that for the movie Partner’s song Maria Maria, Khan did 27 takes. The 2007 David Dhawan directorial also stars Govinda, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Bosco was asked if Salman does his own thing when it comes to choreography. Martis answers, “It’s not true. With Salman bhai, we did 27 takes for ‘Maria Maria’ during Partner. We were in Abu Dhabi; it was 1 in the afternoon, in scorching heat, and we kept going at it over and over again. There was one move that he just couldn’t nail. So on the 15th take, I went to him and said ‘okay’, and walked away. He knew that I wasn’t satisfied, and that I just wanted to move on. He called me and said, ‘Till the time you don’t get, don’t say okay. I’ll do it even if it requires 100 takes’.”
