Amidst all the controversies and nasty remarks between stars, Bollywood always finds a special reason to celebrate the value of their actors, be it in terms of film or otherwise. The International Advertising Association Leadership Awards (IAA) which was held in Grand Hyatt, Mumbai felicitated Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as the Brand Endorser of the year. This was the first chapter of these awards in India and Bollywood does take extreme pride in winning the most important awards of the evening in both the male and female category.

The Union Minister of State, Shri Manish Tewari applauded these awards as an innovative gesture to recognize and foster the efforts made in the field of media and entertainment. More often than not, the dedication, the hard work, the efficiency, the long duty hours and no weekends, no holidays work schedule of media employees evaporates and doesn’t culminate into any significant recognition. The nomination was done in a fair manner by the Research Company A.C Nielsen, which was then audited by Ernst and Young.
Twenty one reputed personalities from the world of media, advertising and films were honored with these special IAA awards. Among the winners were important names like Rajdeep Sardesai and Jaideep Bose. Bollywood’s banner was flying high all evening. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif by the virtue of their huge fan following and pleasant screen presence were declared the Brand Endorser of the Year. The event was supported by Colors. Their CEO Raj Nayak saw this event as an important move in bringing together the thriving media community.
