2012 is coming to a close and there is still uncertainty around which film would Salman Khan begin next. While he has hinted about working on Radhe with brother Sohail Khan and Sher Khan has been put on hold, there is no concrete announcement yet. However one film of his which is getting its ground work in place so as to be ready to go on floors the moment Salman is ready with his eventual plans is Kick.

“Salman is keeping a close tab on how the writing of Kick is making good progress. He has been on board for the film for quite some time. Since Sajid Nadiadwala, who is now also directing the film, is said to be modelling it on the lines of Dhoom, there is extensive pre-production being put together,” informs an insider.

With his other quintessential action flick Ek Tha Tiger staying on to be year’s biggest blockbuster so far, the stakes have gone higher up for Kick.

“Sajid as well as Chetan Bhagat, who is penning screenplay for the film, understand that creatively, Kick has to be over and above what has been seen of Salman till date. The notes are being shared with him,” adds a source, “Salman’s fans have huge expectations from the film and since many are expected to have watched the original, the remake has to be many notches higher.”

When contacted, Chetan admitted to being conscious about this fact. He said, “I need to cater to a number which is as huge as 100 million. Today for me this film is Number One priority.”
