The second season of Sacred Games 2 will be streaming from August 15 on Netflix. After a year’s long wait, the audience will finally find answers to everything that happened in season 1.

In an interview with Indian Express, director Anurag Kashyap got candid about the second season.

When asked about the death in the series, Anurag Kashyap said that every character in Sacred Games died at the right time when the audience was in love with them. He said that some characters are alive in Ganesh Gaitonde’s timeline in the past who are dead in Sartaj’s timeline.

About what one can expect in Sacred Games 2, Kashyap said that they have put the show and time in the context of the second season. The Gangs of Wasseypur director added, “It’s built around how power has always used religion; the role of religion in a whole lot of things and how it gets misused.”
