For those who don’t know, there’s one dialogue of Rashmika during the Karva Chauth scene in the film. It was even glimpsed in the trailer. Netizens trolled it badly and described Rashmika’s dialogue as unclear and difficult to understand. While reacting to it, the actress described her experience of performing the scene on the sets.
Talking on Neha Dhupia’s show, Rashmika Mandanna said, “I don’t like people trolling women on their bodies.. as long as that’s not the case and they’re trolling me about my films, cinema, my face in the film when I say the dialogue… I know how the performance was. I have done the performance five months ago.”
Rashmika Mandanna further shared that when she performed the scene on the sets of Animal, everyone cheered for her and they loved it. However, when the trailer was out or even after the film released, the actress saw opposite reaction coming. Such reactions made her doubt herself.
Rashmika Mandanna said, “I thought I did the 9-minute long scene, and everyone on the set liked it, but people now are trolling me for the same. So, am I living in a bubble? Like, are people not gonna like this scene? Because you know what you’ve shot, but people don’t know. People just know that like those 10 seconds. So I don’t want to ever be in my life where I’m living in a bubble. I need to be on the ground.”
Meanwhile, Animal was a huge blockbuster at the worldwide box office, earning a staggering 910.72 crores in gross revenue. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor’s performance, Rashmika Mandanna also received praise for her portrayal.
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen in Pushpa 2, where she returns as Srivalli.
