Actor Ranveer Singh is grabbing eyeballs for his look in the upcoming film Lootera. While public memory has reserved his attire and look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali the most, which he sports in YRF’s Gunday too. Ranveer’s clean shaven yesteryear look from Lootera has a fresh appeal about it. Director Vikramaditya Motwane has fashioned him simply, and his look bears striking resemblance with the evergreen icon Dev Anand.
Ranveer has a brilliant quality of doing heavy groundwork for his roles and hence for his part in Lootera he watched a lot of classics from the 50s and especially drew strongly from Dev Anand. Set in Kolkata and Dalhousie, the film is a period film. With its music borrowing from S.D Burman’s style of work, Singh has left no stone unturned to seem visibly close to the fashion sense of Dev Anand. Ranveer spent a considerable part of his time watched Dev Anand’s films as his homework.
