Madhur Bhandarkar’s long respite from Bollywood didn’t quite help his fans. But the National Award winning filmmaker is all set to make a comeback in his conspicuously gritty avatar. The director is gearing up to helm Madamji, which is the journey of an item girl, who eventually has a brush of luck with politics.
After much consideration, the role was finally offered to Priyanka Chopra with whom Bhandarkar shares a great work relation since Fashion days. Though Chopra is primarily playing a politician in the film, the early days of her career will see her in an item girl avatar.
Priyanka, with brilliant item numbers last year, has quite shown a flair for it and one can expect a sizzling item number of the same order introducing her in the film, suggested sources close to the film.
Piggy Chops, who is currently in Tampa Bay attending IIFA, is evidently very excited about Madamji. The film’s principle shooting will kick off in October. Meanwhile Bhandarkar-Chopra team are slotting out the dates and other details of the film. Realistic cinema is all set to return it seems!
