Star Cast: Shabana Azmi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Goldy Notay
Plot: Shabana Azmi, a widow, can’t bear the thought of her daughter, Goldy Notay, being unmarried and unhappy, although she may be a little plump and opinionated. Refusing to stomach the rudeness of families who refuse her daughter, Shabana takes matters into her own hands by poisoning the prospects and their families, whose ghosts return to help her find the perfect bridegroom, Sendhil Ramamurthy.
Expectations: Gurinder Chadha has a section of the audience which loves her kind of films. They must be waiting for this one too, especially because it is well-promoted. But, of course, because it doesn’t have youthful star names, it would have to depend upon positive word of mouth to really shine.
