Gauri Shinde is not planning a sequel to her directorial debut English Vinglish, which got a stupendous response at the box office last year.
“No plans as of now. People are asking and they are interested, but no plans…,” Gauri said here on Thursday at the launch of Lakshmi Narayan’s book “Bonsai Kitten”.
The film starring Sridevi in the lead was about a housewife’s tryst with the English language.
When asked is she working on anything new, Gauri said, “Not yet. I am hoping for ideas to come to me so I can start soon.”
She is married to R. Balki, the director of films like Paa. “His ideas he is using for himself, I am hoping if he can give… I will be happy,” she said of her filmmaker husband.
