Namaste England Vs Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga: The producers of Namaste England recently announce that the much-awaited romantic comedy will hit the big screen during the Dussehra weekend i.e. 19th October 2018. The film, which stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead, was initially supposed to release on 7th December 2018, however since the shooting schedule of the film will be wrapped up earlier than expected, the makers decided to advance the release date.
An interesting point to note here is the fact that the film will arrive just a week after the release of Fox-Star Studios and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga starring Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in lead. The film is said to be an out and out family entertainer and major chunk of the film is set in Patiala. The film sees the teaming up of Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor for the first time in their career and the same has created a lot of excitement among the trade circle.
Coming to the point, this Pre-Diwali period will see the Kapoor Clans releasing their films in a span of merely one week and interestingly with films belonging to similar space i.e. Family Entertainers. While Namaste England is easily a bigger film as far as expectations are concerned, one can’t under-estimate Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga given the fact that it also stars Rajkummar Rao in lead, who is known for his terrific script sense.

Apart from the above mentioned two films, another film that is slated to hit the big screen during the Dussehra weekend is Junglee starring Vidyut Jammwal in lead. The film is the one of the first action adventure film of India, directed by renowned Hollywood director, Chuck Russel, best known for The Mask. However, given the fact that 2 big films are already releasing in a span of 7 days with considerably bigger names attached to the them, we wouldn’t be surprised if Junglee moves ahead by a few weeks, and releases in a lesser crowded release period in November.
The Pre-Diwali period is usually considered a dull phase for the industry; however, it seems that the rules will be re-written this year as two big films are set to release during the Pre-Diwali period.
