The critics lauded Meghna’s completely objective and unbiased handling of the film, calling it a “gripping, genre-defying and non-exploitative cinematic examination” and one of the most riveting movies of our time.
Says a trade source, “Meghna Gulzar has fast become synonymous with real cinema. Her style of film-making is impactful without being over the top and preachy and that is what makes her films so engaging and sincere. Very few filmmakers have the knack of capturing realism, while making a gripping entertainer and Meghna Gulzar has aced it in this genre.”
