Manisha Koirala will make her onscreen comeback with ‘Chehere’, a psychological thriller set in the yesteryears. Koirala, who has recovered from a life threatening bout of cancer, co stars with Divya Dutta as siblings in it. The film also focuses on sibling rivalry. Both Koirala and Divya Dutta play actresses, with Koirala essaying the role of an established movie star, while Dutta is a newcomer.
Speaking at the film’s music launch, Dutta said, “There are two sisters, played by me and Manisha Koirala and there is rivalry between them which directs the plot of the film in a palace…. It’s a brilliant thriller and I think all actors have had a wish to act in a black-and-white film sometime, and with this, it has got fulfilled really well.”
‘Chehere’ also co stars Gulshan Grover in a positive role. Grover, who also features in a lead role in the forthcoming ‘Kaun Kitney Paani Mein’, plays a doctor in this film. “There are several stories fitted inside this story. As soon as we all were on board, we got involved in research about the previous era of films to know what interesting element we could incorporate in our personality, look and persona,” he said.
The film also co stars Jackie Shroff & Hrishitaa Bhatt. Delayed for some time, ‘Chehere’, directed by Rohit Kaushik, releases this August.
