The return of romance, television and vamps:
The last memorable impact that Madhuri Dixit made in Bollywood was as the courtesan with a heart of gold in Devdas. And now she seems to be donning a similar hat as a shahi begum in Dedh Ishqiya.
While Vidya Balan is not in the sequel, Madhuri will romance Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in her nawaabi style with shayiris. But unlike Vidya, Mads will have to share screen space with Kangna Ranaut. Now that we will be seeing Madhuri in a full fledged role after almost five years, will she still have us wrapped around her little finger? And will she be as thumb-sucking daring as Vidya was in Ishqiya? Well, we’ll have to wait and see…

Trust Aamir Khan to rewrite the rules of everything he sets his sights on. While he’s already considered to be the man with the Midas touch when it comes to the silver screen, his magic seems to be seeping into the small screen as well. The broadcasters for Aamir’s television show Satyamev Jayate have reportedly spent a whooping sum of Rs. 6.25 crore to promote the show!
While this figure is unheard of in television, Aamir’s show will also be dubbed in 7 languages! And do you remember waking up early on Sunday morning to religiously watch Mahabharat and Ramayan? Well it seems like you’ll have to do the same for Aamir’s show as it will be broadcast on Sunday mornings!
The desperate lover, heartless girlfriend, ambitious begum… Mahie Gill has done it all. And now she adds more shades of grey to her list of characters as the vamp Mona Darling in the planned remake of the 1973 classic, Zanjeer.
Ajit, who played the villain Teja in the film, will be now be played by south Indian actor Prakash Raj. Amitabh Bachchan’s role of inspector Vijay will be handed over to Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan Teja. So while Bindu gyrated to Diljalon ka dil jala ke in the original film, Mahie will flaunt her curves in a bikini in this modern remake!
Mahie Darling, are you game?
