Back in January, Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced Love And War and revealed details about its blockbuster cast. For those who don’t know, the film features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. It is locked for a release during Christmas 2025 and the film is reportedly a homage to Raj Kapoor’s Sangam. It is expected to go on floors towards the end of this year.

Now, the latest about Love And War is regarding the character of Alia Bhatt. As per the report in Peepingmoon, Alia will be essaying the character of a jazz singer. The source close to the development states, “While the character details of the male leads are kept under wraps, Alia will be seen taking the mic to portray a jazz artist, and she’s extremely excited to play such a character after crooning songs in her movies, Highway and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.”

Talking further about the character, Alia Bhatt will be seen in an emotionally conflicted role and it is touted to be the most complex character in her career. After fearless Gangu, it will be really a treat to watch Alia as a jazz singer!
Details about the plot of Love And War are, however, are under the wraps. Still, if reports are to be believed, the film is said to be a love triangle with a backdrop of war. This love saga will be set in Kolkata.
