While the much publicized IPL 5 opening ceremony disappointed most commentators, the cricket fever that starts from today has the viewer gunning for a lot more.
Thankfully, B-Town celebs made sure that yesterday wasn’t a boring day after all.

Director-producer Karan Johar seemed to be reacting to this news report when he tweeted about a certain “spineless and lame” person who had obviously got his goat.

Reproduced below are Karan’s tweets:
“Using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind so called “friends” to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame!!!”
“Some people need to wake up and smell the KOFFEE!!! Get a reality check before its too late!!! Grow up!!! and dont mess with goodness….”
Did Priyanka Chopra, who was busy rehearsing for and performing at the IPL 5 opening ceremony, read all this? Will she react? Only time will tell…
Salman Khan was in the news yet again for coming to the aid of a friend. Salman has evidently agreed to make an appearance in Preity Zinta’s next film. The actress, who is making a comeback after a long hiatus, was more than happy to share the news on Twitter:
“Thanx guys 4 da good wishes 4 Ishkq In Paris! Yes, I’ve co written it wid Prem Raj but its directed ONLY by Prem Raj. #purefacts that’s all!”
“And Yesss.. Salman will be a part of Ishkq In Paris & I am super excited!!! Wait n watch people 4 all fun cuz for now my lips are sealed!”
Saswata Chatterjee, or Bob Biswas from Kahaani, has shot to fame with the success of the film and the curiosity his character has created online.
One remembers a similar instance of a yet unknown face in Hindi cinema making waves after the release of a film. US-based actor Omi Vaidya, or Chatur from 3 Idiots, had achieved overnight fame after his accented Hindi and comic lines made him the public’s favourite.
While Saswata comes from Kolkata, and is actually a well-known actor over there, will he be able to make his mark in Bollywood, just like Omi?
