It is time for Kapoor women to strike! Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor are uniting for Veere Di Wedding and if the first poster of the film is any indication, this one is going to be a cool-n-fun flick that should find an audience with youth and elderly alike.
“What is further special about the film is the fact that the Kapoor women are in great form with this film,” informs an insider, “Though Kareena also did Udta Punjab in the interim period, she is returning in an urban entertainer more than two years after Ki & Ka. In the film she played a married working woman. A Box Office success by director R. Balki, it had Kareena being a natural in front of the camera all over again.”
There is a Balki connection for Sonam Kapoor as well.

“That’s right,” says a close associate, “Immediately after working with Kareena, Balki worked with Sonam in PadMan. The film released earlier this year and it was successful as well. Sonam did well in the film and even though she wasn’t the leading lady in a conventional sense (since Akshay Kumar had Radhika Apte opposite him), she left a major impression. Yet again, what helped was her being her natural self.”
