Animosities dwindling in Bollywood isn’t exactly the easiest thing. And after Ajay Devgn Productions landed up in a massive legal fiasco with Yash Raj Films, short of the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan – too much was written and said about it. Recently, when the shooting of Singham Returns was on, King Khan even paid a visit on the sets of the film.
SRK and Rohit Shetty, the director of Singham Returns are obviously on the best of terms post Chennai Express and one would assume that Shetty was instrumental in getting them closer. Talking of his relationship with SRK, Devgn in a recent interview to Koimoi said, “When there is no problem then where is the question of a patch up arising from. We are not friends but that doesn’t mean we are enemies. I don’t know why the news was created around it. You have not seen us abusing each other in media. We are colleagues and we are there for each other as we are part of the same industry. I am sure if I need some support tomorrow, he will be there too.”
Talking of their earlier tiff earlier, Devgn said that the tiff was between two production houses and had not a tinge of personal animosity. The terse relationship between Ajay and Shah Rukh, as per him was a media fabricated story as their relationship was never too bad.
The trailer of SRK starrer Happy New Year will be attached with Singham Returns as well. Ajay continued, “It was Shah Rukh’s idea. He asked us can they attach the trailer and we said yes.”
Ajay’s Singham Returns is all set to release on 15th August. It is quite important for the actor to deliver a hit this time given both his films last year, Himmatwala and Satyagraha didn’t fare exceedingly well.
