The Novel Coronavirus pandemic has taken over the world and has brought everything to a pause. While it is becoming tougher for the Municipal Corporation in Mumbai to fight the dangerous virus, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has come to their aid as the actor has reportedly donated 20 Lakhs and below is everything you would want to know.

Hrithik Roshan has donated 20 Lakhs as an aid for the BMC staff working round the clock to safeguard the citizens of Mumbai. The actor also thanked Aditya Thackeray for letting him lend his support.

While the amount was not enclosed by Hrithik himself. A source close to the development revealed it to TOI. The source was quoted saying, “Hrithik has extended his support to the Government of Maharashtra in their endeavor to curb the spread of the pandemic. He had been looking for ways to help the street-level bureaucrats like the BMC workers and other caretakers who are out there and contributed a total amount of Rs 20 lakh to the cause.”

Hrithik in the tweet that he wrote as announcing his support, wrote, “In times such as these, we must do whatever we can to ensure the safety of the most fundamental caretakers of our city and society. I have procured N95 and FFP3 masks for our BMC workers and other caretakers.”


He added, “My gratitude to @AUThackeray for giving me the opportunity to support the Maharashtra govt in their endeavour to curb the pandemic. It is our duty to help in whatever capacity we can. @mybmc #coronavirusoutbreak #stayhomestaysafe.”

Meanwhile, the actor is right now in quarantine with ex-wife Suzanne Roshan and their kids. The actor had shared a long note after she shifted in with him for the quarantine, so the two can be close to their kids together.
