The year gone by proved to be the worst for Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan. Both of them had two releases each, and all the four turned turkeys at the ticket windows. Hrithik delivered flops in Kites and Guzaarish (his performance in the latter film was praised) whereas Bachchan bombed with Raavan and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.
Akshay Kumar also got a lot of flack for his choice of films (Khatta Meetha, Action Replayy. Luckily for him, Housefull worked at the box-office and Tees Maar Khan at least took a flying start. Anil Kapoor poured water over his new-found success as actor in Hollywood films and TV (Slumdog Millionaire, 24, under-production Mission Impossible 4) by delivering two duds produced by him – No Problem and Aisha.
