It was with Kaminey that the real caliber of Shahid Kapoor was out for people to see. But with Haider, he has broken barriers of his own limitations.
Speaking of the film, Kapoor told Koimoi, “You are always nervous when you start but when you are involved a lot in what you are doing, it takes over everything else. By far Haider is the most challenging role of my career. I used to think Kaminey was very difficult because there was a speech defect and to play twins believably, it can be challenging. Haider turned out be more challenging than Kaminey. I didn’t feel it when I read the script but when I started playing it, this turned to be way more challenging.”

Every film comes with its own set of fears but they disperse with time. Kapoor agreed, “There are apprehensions on most films you do. Films are such an organic process because there are various things working for a film and there are fears that if you take a wrong direction, the movie can go wrong. Those are things that over time you understand and anticipate. That exists on any film you do.”

Haider will release on 2nd October and in Shahid’s words, probably the biggest film of his career.
